Fisher House Wisconsin Junior Board

Developing the next generation of leaders in service to military and veteran families.

Natalie Popp

Junior Board

Natalie, a native of Fitchburg, WI, garnered the title of Miss Wisconsin’s Teen 2025 this past June. A senior at Lakeside Lutheran High School, Natalie is passionate about expanding her Community Service Initiative: Never Forgotten – Remembering Our Heroes throughout the state of Wisconsin. Her mission emphasizes not only thanking active military and veterans, but truly listening to and honoring their stories.

Never Forgotten aims to advocate and encourage the importance of not just saying thank you to our active military and veterans, but to listen and share their stories. What once started as club, has now grown into a mission. Natalie has hosted donation drives that have collected thousands of items, gathered over 2,000 personalized Thank You letters for veterans, and wrote a children’s book, “Lew for the Red, White and Blue” that educates young readers to understand and appreciate who veterans are. Natalie lives out her mission by also serving as the Junior Board Member for Fisher House Wisconsin and Board Member/ Director of Veteran Engagement for Operation Not Alone.

At the 2025 Miss Wisconsin’s Teen Competition, Natalie wowed the judges with a touching vocal performance of “Journey to the Past” from the musical Anastasia. Natalie has been performing for over 14 years singing and dancing. She has participated in a competitive dance company and had leading roles in several musicals.

In 2022, Natalie served as the Wisconsin Representative to the FBI National Academy Youth Leadership Program in Quantico, VA. Natalie exudes exemplary leadership and communication skills she has earned from her involvement in Miss America Opportunity, Board Member for two organizations, and leadership programs. Looking ahead, Natalie dreams of a career filled with compassion and communication as a business entrepreneur. With every endeavor, she’s committed to making a difference through service and storytelling.

Cate Roberts

Junior Board

Cate Roberts is a Junior Board Member with Fisher House Wisconsin, where she supports the organization’s mission of providing comfort and care to military and veteran families during times of medical need.

She is currently a senior at Divine Savior Holy Angels, where she serves as President of Debate Club and President of the PB&J ministry, an organization that prepares and delivers sandwiches to food pantries in underserved Milwaukee communities. Cate also played varsity tennis and is actively involved in Math Club, STEM Scholars, and several other academic and service-based organizations.

Cate plans to major in Biology at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities on the pre-dental track, with the goal of becoming a pediatric dentist. She hopes to enlist in the United States Air Force while attending dental school, allowing her to serve children and families through both healthcare and military service.

Cate chose to get involved with Fisher House because she is deeply passionate about supporting service members and their families, particularly during times of medical hardship. She is inspired by Fisher House’s commitment to keeping families together and ensuring they feel supported, respected, and cared for.

Military service has played a significant role in shaping Cate’s values and future aspirations. Her father served in the U.S. Air Force for over twenty years, and several of her grandfathers and uncles have also served. Growing up surrounded by this legacy of service has motivated Cate to give back to the military community through leadership, service, and healthcare.
